Statement
For me, the fascinating thing about glass as a material is its transparency and working with coloured light. Depending on the incidence of light or the illumination, the object or picture looks different. My glass designs are inspired by nature studies, natural forms, and structures. Building on deliberate coincidence and exact further development, colour playfulness is created – abstracted natural forms on and with glass, which are implemented with the different techniques of glass design depending on the effect.
I have been working as a glass painter in my own studio in Wormersdorf for over 40 years. The interplay of craftsmanship and artistic creation distinguishes my work.
