Statement
The principal theme of my work is the human figure in movement. I am interested in the magical moment between stability and instability, movement frozen between security, equilibrium, and tension. Often figures are caught in an instant of movement, demonstrating the tension shortly before a fall. The seated figures represent a concentrated and contemplative moment. They draw the viewer into the state of being absolutely in the present, here and now.
The color alludes to the elements of water and air.
