“My work involves fusing flat glass with metal foil and/or metal pieces. Pictorial elements are executed by firing with black enamel, matte white, and silver stain. There is also so-called cold painting, which I perform with asphalt lacquer without firing the work. I particularly want to emphasize the surface structure of the glass fused with metal foil, which is why I often forgo presenting my works in front of a window and prefer a wall display.”
“In parallel, three-dimensional works are created: these are wooden boxes lined on the inside with mirrors. Within them, I design an inner world with small objects. The wooden boxes are sealed with glass cover plates, creating a self-contained world inside.”
