“I want to create something unique, unmistakable!” (U. Majmudar)
Uta Majmudar certainly achieved this in her artistic career, in which she devoted herself to the medium of glass. In 1978, she left the teaching profession and, from 1980 onwards, dedicated herself exclusively to glass art in her own studio. One of the many highlights of her artistic work was being awarded the State Prize for Arts and Crafts of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia in 2003. Her unmistakable style bears witness to a deep connection to glass, and her legacy continues to inspire young artists. We bow to her life’s work and extend our sincere condolences to her family and friends.
