Statement

In my work, borosilicate glass rods and fine wire merge into delicate structures and organic forms. The creation process is characterized by a direct encounter with the flame – an element that is both a tool and a challenge. Under its heat, the glass transforms, becoming soft, pliable, and allowing new connections to form.

I am fascinated by the transformation of a rigid material into vibrant, transparent creations. By fusing individual rods and wires, structures emerge that evoke natural growth processes, networks, or architectural constructions. Each piece is the result of a concentrated dialogue between material, fire, and movement.

The transparency of the glass, the interplay of light and shadow, and the visible traces of the shaping process lend the objects a special lightness and presence. My artistic focus lies on the possibilities of the material and the fascination of its transformation.
