“Working with glass expands my work as a painter/sculptor by adding the fourth dimension: transparency.”
The focus of my work lies in rhythm and color intensity, inspired by many travels and our daily environment. An abstract formal language combines with visual impressions on canvas or paper to form abstracted landscapes. Since 2007, another focus has been working with glass, which for me is “painting with light.” The transparency of glass as a fourth dimension allows me to see into and through the inner character of a piece. Over time, I have found the combination of different materials to be particularly exciting, such as integrating glass with ceramics or metal, and collages with glass.
