“The transparency of glass is the initiator for my glass objects. It is the discovery, the invention of something that I carry within me. The realization in glass, combined with other materials, is the means to implement my ideas. In doing so, it is of particular importance to me to preserve the originality and not to weaken it through superficiality.”
Georg Linden has been teaching at the State Glass School Rheinbach, Department of Glass Design and Glass Painting, for over 30 years. He is a state-certified master glass painter and master designer and has participated in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad for many years. In his works, he experiments with glass fusions in combination with a wide variety of materials in order to repeatedly incorporate heaviness/lightness as well as density/transparency. Georg Linden lives and works in Bonn.
